DEARBORN, Michigan — A Grabber Blue 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca built specifically for charity auction, promises to be one of the standouts of the 2011 automotive auction season. It crosses the block on January 22 at the Barrett-Jackson 40th Annual Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ford said that all proceeds from the auction of the car above its MSRP will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The one-of-one production unit gets black accents on the roof, mirrors and spoiler, Citic Diecastel wheels and C-Stripe. There is also a Grabber Blue grille surround. The cabin is equipped with Recaro seats with Grabber Blue seat embroidery and Rear X-Brace. The high-end pony car is powered by a 444-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
"It is the only 2012 Grabber Blue Boss 302 Laguna Seca we will ever build," said Mark Fields, Ford's president of the Americas, in a statement on Thursday.
The auction promises to be entertaining, with racing icon Parnelli Jones providing color commentary from the stage. The event will be televised live on the Speed channel.

I wouldn't care how much it cost. This is my dream that'll hopefully come true.

Nooooooo. As soon as I saw the picture I told myself I was buying one of these in a couple years. Then I read the 'Just the Facts.' Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe it. Looks so much better than the 'regular' Bosses.

Why not all proceeds, period? Ford is getting some great exposure with this for free...

It's much cheaper to have someone make a 3D model of a Grabber blue Boss than to snap a photo of it?
