LIVONIA, Michigan — Roush Performance has introduced the 2011 Roush 5XR Mustang, a $15,390 upgrade kit that bundles a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with suspension upgrades and an aero package.
Available via pre-order through authorized Roush-Ford dealers, the 5XR pumps output to 525 horsepower and torque to 465 pound-feet. Offered on the 2011 Mustang coupe and convertible, the Roush 5XR comes only with a six-speed manual gearbox. Production is limited to 150 units.
The 5XR includes a suspension package with front struts, rear shocks and springs and front and rear stabilizer bars, as well as Roush 20-inch chrome rims with Cooper RS3 performance rubber.
An exterior package bundles a front fascia with upper billet grille and driving lamps, front chin splitter, side rocker splitters, rear valance and three-piece deck-lid spoiler, plus square-tipped exhaust pipes.
Extra-cost options include color-matched sport leather seats, four-piston brakes with 14-inch slotted rotors, a vent pod gauge and a lower three-piece billet grille.

Why buy this instead of the similarly priced, but much more powerful Mustang GT500?

@ btrdayz:
I like the imbedded advertisements, which are a lot better than the self-expanding and incredibly obtrusive ads they had before.
Nice car though.

The Chevy sponsored Cruze ad disguised as an InsideLine story, is a huge disappointment. I hope IL does not continue this practice. What a huge sell out!
