LOS ANGELES — The long, slow striptease of the 2010 Ford Mustang has ended with the reveal of the corner of the rear end, including a deck spoiler and a taillamp. The redesigned pony car gets a full unveiling on Tuesday on the eve of the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show, with SPEED TV offering a same-day tape-delayed reveal at 11 p.m. EST.

Mustang Club of America groups in nine cities will host regional reveal events featuring the SPEED broadcast in movie theaters. The cities are Atlanta; Dallas; Houston; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Detroit; Phoenix; Denver; Columbus, Ohio; and Tampa, Florida.

The 2010 Mustang unveiling will take place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Beginning Wednesday, the Mustang can be seen at a dedicated Web site, which will feature a replay of the reveal, along with a 360-degree exterior view.

As you might expect, such icons as Carroll Shelby and Jack Roush will be part of the unveiling.

Inside Line says: Finally, the climax of the 2010 Mustang is set for tomorrow. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
