DEARBORN, Michigan — Intrepid spy photographers managed to snap revealing interior shots of the 2010 Ford Fusion while its test-driver left the car unattended during a lunch stop.
It's now evident that much of the overall dash design will carry over from the 2008 Fusion, but the updated sedan will get a large display screen in the center stack, revised air vents, and a new three-gauge cluster in place of the 2008's four-gauge setup.
Radio and HVAC controls have been relocated below the display screen, and the current Fusion's analog clock has been dropped altogether.
The 2010 Fusion's steering wheel appears to be the same design as today's model, but a second row of satellite controls have been added, likely to manage Ford's integrated Sync entertainment system.
What this means to you: Ford continues to fine-tune the Fusion, hoping that small improvements will help grab a bigger piece of the important midsize sedan pie. — Kelly Toepke, News Editor
