Ford Fusion, Flex and Focus at 2009 SEMA Auto Show

LAS VEGAS — "Environmentally conscious" is not normally a phrase tossed around by the tuner crowd at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show. But the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid manages to stress that concept in a new incarnation from M&J Enterprises of Phillips Ranch, California.

The M&J Fusion Hybrid is fitted with a variety of green-themed accessories, including heat-reflective paint and window film. To drive home the point, the car gets a two-tone paint job, with green pearl on top of dark charcoal, accented with bright green striping.

At the other end of the spectrum is the 2010 Ford Fusion T4 by MRT, which has adapted an intercooled turbocharger and Max-Flow high-performance stainless-steel exhaust system, as well as a Street Performance coil-over suspension, 20-inch wheels and a Kicker audio system.

Custom car designer Aaron Vaccar has created a Signature Series edition of the turbocharged 2010 Ford Fusion Sport with a customized audio system.

Santini Paint lowered the suspension and then added oversize wheels and tires, a 3dCarbon body kit and a British Racing Green paint job with competition stripes for its 2010 Ford Edge RallyE. And, yes, the passing resemblance to the original Mini is purely intentional.

The 2010 Ford Flex became the canvas for Falken Tire, which lowered the ride height and mounted 22-inch S/TZ04 tires on Dayton wire-spoke wheels to deliver a "low rider" look.

Two custom versions of the 2009 Ford Focus will be on display at SEMA, including a full-tilt track-oriented Focus coupe from FSWerks with 500-plus horsepower.

Yet another green-themed concept is the 2009 Focus by Creations n' Chrome, rendered in a green chrome finish over a 3dCarbon Euro Series body kit and Work Emotion alloy wheels. Under the skin are H&R coil-over suspension and an FSWerks turbo kit, with custom Katzkin leather inside.

scotty, I know they are bringing it over...it just pains me that it took them so long to bring it over; not only that, but they killed some of the more appealing models...is almost as if for every good Mustang and F150 they make, they have to compensate with some crumy Focus, Ranger, and everything in the Lincoln lineup.  And can't agree more with the RS, that is one amazing platform and drivetrain, yet I still don't know how they didn't win this year's WRC.

efinils2, Ford has announced many times that they will be bringing the Focus that they build for the European market to the US next year. I really hope that they bring the RS version here and shine a little light on the fact that they are very successful in WRC because most Americans don't even know about that...

SVT Focus was many aeons ago, especially with the RWD/V8 kit; however, today's model is nothing but an empty shell of what it used to be, sort of like the Ranger...why can't Ford produce the Euro-spec Focus here?  Mazda has obviously figured out how to with the 3 and speed3.

Sure, like anyone in their right mind would like to invest any kind of money in getting a track Focus!
