WASHINGTON — Apparently everybody is on Twitter these days. Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) sent a tweet from his own Twitter account on Monday, telling the world in the succinct language required by the service, "Time to get a new car — decided on the Ford Fusion Hybrid."
Senator McCain — who has been a vocal appointment of government bailouts for the U.S. automakers — will be taking delivery of his new car in Washington today, the Detroit Free Press reported. He is replacing his current Cadillac CTS, in which he reportedly drives himself to work in the Senate. The paper also said, citing McCain's staff, that the senator chose a silver Fusion with voice-activated navigation.
McCain's Twitter page claims 778,626 followers.
