In response to the photo, Ford's keypad system is actually a really great feature to have for many reasons - even with a keyless entry fob.
For example:
-You'll never lock your keys in the car again -You don't have to carry around a bulky fob with you if you need to run out to the car to grab something -Going to the gym or the beach and don't have any pockets? Hide the key in the car and just use your code to lock and unlock the doors
I had the keypad on my last car which was a Ford and I really liked having it. I know other Ford owners who say the same about it. I'm glad Ford continues to have it standard on most of their vehicles or at least offers it as an option. Unless you've had that feature and realized its benefits, it comes across as being outdated or unnecessary, however it really is a great feature to have and there are numerous times where I wish I had it on my current vehicle (Mercedes).
