MELBOURNE, Australia — Ford Performance Vehicles is expected to release its long-awaited supercharged 5.0-liter V8 models in October, most likely in connection with the Bathurst 1000 race. In the meantime, FPV has revised the turbocharged six-cylinder F6 series in Australia.
The cleaner-burning turbo 4.0-liter inline-6 now meets Euro IV emissions standards. Output and torque are unchanged, at 416 horsepower and 417 pound-feet, respectively.
The upgraded F6 models are now on sale, with minor cosmetic changes, at no increase in price. The F6 Ute with automatic opens the range at $53,075. The F6 sedan starts at $61,075, while the automatic-equipped F6E sedan is priced at $71,750.

@icecubefosho,
The current Falcon is based on the platform of the previous generation Falcon which was not designed to have a LHD version. I believe one of the main issues here is the provision/room for the LHD steering system.

No I mean that $71K price is a direct conversion from the $79K Australian price. I've seen a Fiesta for 27K from a dealer, while a comparably equipped Fiesta in America goes for $16,500. Converting prices from AUD to USD is more than just a mathematic equation. If it would come to America (I know it never will), it would most likely be around $40-50K considering what else you can get for the price. It would be like a more practical Mustang GT, considering the Shelby GT500 hits $48-50K.
An automatic Camry in Pakistan converts to $59,158.26 USD, and a basic Civic will usually hit the $30K mark new. You don't see that kind of price here for these vehicles. Conversions can't just be mathematical, the country itself and its trends in pricing has to be noted.
Still, a man can dream can't he?

$71,750.00 AUD = $63,886.21 USD
$64k for a Ford sedan, would still be a hard sell.
You could buy an SHO and an F150 for that.

I wish this were the Ford Taurus with Ecoboost.

I don't think that is a particularly flattering picture, but I'd love to see these on the road. I agree with kipster about the Ute variants. Darned you Carpocalypse! We could have had the G8 ST!

@kipster
Thats the Australian conversion. You don't see the Jaguar XFR starting at $97,605 (It starts at $80K here).
The G8 was a Holden souled vehicle and everybody loved it. It also didn't cost as much as the converted costs from Australia.
Now a 4 litre Inline-6 turbo'ed engine that has 417lbs of torque... I'd be in heaven. Hell, just give me any Inline-6 aside from BMW's.

Didn't GM bring the Holden's over? The G8 GT & GXP were GREAT cars, wish I could have grabbed one! I think they were slightly detuned versions of the Holden Monaros.
I 2nd the utes to come over!

The main reason they wouldn't bring it here is:
"The F6 sedan starts at $61,075, while the automatic-equipped F6E sedan is priced at $71,750."
Ford would have a hard time selling here them at that price.
They'd have to convert them to left-hand drive and it would be a money loser for them.
I'd like to see either Ford or GM bring over the utes.
There's a lot of people who need a pickup only occasionally, who would love to get modern car economy.
