Well well, what do we have here!?
    Ford is on a roll.
With Mazda inspired underpinnings, and Volvo esq styling, combined with youthful attitude, the 2012 Focus is already creating a buzz among those who, in the past, have doubted.
We wait for final decisions on this little beasts powerplants, though Ford is sure to appease  the masses with high fuel economy and at least a somewhat spirited driving experience.

Exterior styling, specifically, the four door, has a distinct up scale appearance from the rear 3/4 view.
It could pose as a European Luxo-sport entry from the likes of VW or dare I say BMW?  Even if, fit and finish and paint quality are just shy of such accolades.

The 5 door, for those of us who put a priority on function and versitility, is a very sporty offering.  No longer must we settle for the Versa clones now on sale.  I can only hope for an optional engine / transmission choice which will do this little hot hatchs' exterior justice.  Just imagine the 2.5 t from either Mazda or Volvo stuffed into the engine compartment.
Add to that a shiftable 5 or 6 speed automanual and a close ratio 6 speed manual to choose from, and wow!

Build it, and we will buy it.  Just don't make it too Ricky boy racer, and I will head up the line

Those rims are awesome.  Hopefully this Focus has some driving excitement a la Mazda3.  If it is a value-loaded as a Mazda3, there is finally some serious competition in the segment, specially in the 5 door compact segment.  I don't know why I think of Italian (Fiat) front ends when I look at this one.  It could be the inverted dual alfa snout.

Finally!!! Ford gives up a gorgeous Focus and is it ever gorgeous.  I must say this is one aggressive-looking compact.  It really looks a lot like a stretched out Fiesta, and that's really not terrible at all.  I'm in love with this car already, I think.

Ok, enough gawking. The exterior styling is busy, nearly to a fault.  But it all feels so cohesive somehow.  I'm not sure how they've pulled it off, but they have and I love it.  The front of this thing just looks mean, the sides are busy and give the illusion of speed, and the rear is just sexy.  I love the simple 5 spoke wheels as well.  The size of the tires and wheels look very appropriate.

Inside looks like an amazing place to be!!  I look forward to sitting in one at the first chance that i get.  The layout of the controls looks great and the dash just look damn interesting.  I think this is going to be an excellent car for Ford. I can't wait until they start adding more power.
