BRENTWOOD, England — Ford said it will campaign the Fiesta RS WRC racecar again in the FIA World Rally Championship in 2012-'13.
The Fiesta RS, which was first unveiled at the 2010 Paris Auto Show, won the WRC season opener in February, as well as the season finale, podium sweeps in both events.
Ford said M-Sport, its longtime WRC partner, will continue to prep the Fiesta rally cars, with drivers Jari-Matti Latvala, Miikka Anttila, Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson signed for 2012.
Inside Line says: Solberg won the WRC driver's championship in 2003 in a Subaru Impreza. Since then, Sebastian Loeb has strung together a remarkable eight consecutive championships for Citroen.
