BIRMINGHAM, England — Ford has officially introduced the new livery that will adorn the Fiesta RS World Rally Car that will contest the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship.
The rally car in its new colors was unveiled here at the annual Autosport International Racing Car Show, which kicks off the motorsport season in Europe.
Castrol will continue as a major sponsor of Ford's WRC effort.
The Fiesta RS, which was first unveiled at the 2010 Paris Auto Show, won the 2011 WRC season opener in February, as well as the season finale, with podium sweeps in both events.
Ford said M-Sport, its longtime WRC partner, will continue to prep the Fiesta rally cars, with drivers Jari-Matti Latvala, Miikka Anttila, Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson signed for 2012.
Inside Line says: Ford blue and Castrol green are the dominant colors.
