Biggest Hog Daddy Hits the Road as Ford Introduces Harley-Davidson F-450

DALLAS — It may be the ultimate pickup for those who want to send the message "Gas Prices Be Damned!" Ford on Thursday rolled out a ginormous Harley-Davidson F-450 pickup tricked out with a blue-flame paint job that serpentines its way through to the gauges on the instrument panel. This is the first time the Dearborn automaker has created a Harley-Davidson version of the F-450.

Ford spokesperson Anne Marie Gattari told Inside Line that the company is not releasing pricing on either model today. However, the 2009 F-450 4x4 Lariat costs $53,765, including a $925 destination charge. The Harley-Davidson model is likely to be priced in that ballpark.

The EPA does not list fuel economy ratings for the F-450.

Ford also showed off other new additions to its 2009 F-Series Super Duty lineup, including a new Cabela's FX4 package. The package, which links the automaker to the popular outdoor outfitter, features a two-tone paint scheme in a choice of five colors. Other details include custom mud flaps and Cabela's badging. The cabin gets other Cabela's reminders, including floor mats with the outfitter's logo.

What this means to you: The ultimate truck for those who are nuts about Cabela's and Harley-Davidson. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
