At first glance, the new 2011 Ford F350 Super Duty looks a lot like the current model. But look a little closer and you’ll start to notice a few subtle differences. Up front, the grille now dips into the bumper slightly and the large vertical vents that were at each side of the grille are now gone.
The headlights have been reconfigured as well although they retain their same general shape. Out back, there’s not much to see other than the fender flares which look a little smoother than before.
Recently, Inside Line was first to confirm details of the new 6.7 liter Powerstroke diesel V8 that will power most of these Super Duty trucks. Rated at 400 hp and 725 lb ft of torque, the new Powerstroke will be the most powerful diesel engine on the market
Ford is also likey to offer a new 6.2-liter gas V8 that was first shown in the F-150 SVT Raptor. This engine will give the new F350 at least 400-horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque – however, it will most likely get slightly different tuning for use in the Super Duty trucks so even more torque may be available by next year.
Look for an official debut of the 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty in early 2010 with sales beginning next summer.
