LAS VEGAS — GMC apparently isn't the only truck brand that wants to compare itself to DeWalt tools. At the 2009 SEMA Auto Show, look for the new 2011 Ford Super Duty DeWalt Contractor Concept as the centerpiece of Ford's F-Series truck display.

Among the features on the custom DeWalt edition is the Ford Work Solutions system that is designed to provide contractors with a mobile office and tool inventory management.

Ford Vehicle Personalization has created the 2010 F-150 Project FX2 Sport 6.2L H.O., in partnership with Ford Racing and Ford Accessories. The heart of the truck is the new FX2 Sport production package, which bundles a dark billet grille, unique headlamps and wheels, monochromatic paint, custom step bars, a deep front valance, sport captain's chairs with flow-through center console and a floor-mounted shifter. The concept also has a 6.2-liter H.O. engine, lowering kit, hood scoop and Ford Racing dual exhaust with black chrome tips.

Superlift Suspension Systems has converted a 2009 Ford F-150 into a life-size replica of the Mattel Hot Wheels F-150, while Malibu Customz has enlisted artist Mickey Harris to render a 2009 F-150 "Freedom Truck" with a military theme.

A supercharged 5.4-liter V8 powers the 2009 F-150 by K-Daddyz Kustomz, which adds 24-inch wheels, air suspension and a custom two-tone paint treatment.

Inside Line says: We're confused — does this mean the 2011 Ford Super Duty is the new "professional grade"? — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
