    What is it?
    Ford F-150 FX2 Sport

    What's special about it?
Taking a lesson from Hollywood, Ford's SEMA sequel to last year's F-150 FX2 Sport is bigger, louder and a whole lot flashier. Still designed as a rolling catalog of Ford Racing Parts and Ford Accessories, and still hewing closely to the two-wheel-drive FX2 Sport SuperCab, the FX2 Sport V2 Concept manages to make last year's truck look positively sedate. The 22-inch wheels — two designs, one on each side — fill the arches with supremely low-profile rubber. Ride height has been lowered, and a handsome new front fascia with integrated foglights and a billet-style grille insert neatly complement a lockable hard tonneau cover over the 6.5-foot bed.

The F-150's three-valve-per-cylinder 5.4-liter V8 benefits from the addition of Ford Racing's $6,000 supercharger kit with intercooler, along with a new radiator, a free-flow exhaust system and (just for good measure) chrome valve covers. Churning out about 460 horsepower and 525 pound-feet of torque, the Lightning-esque 5.4's newfound power is put to good use by a recalibrated four-speed automatic matched to a final-drive ratio of 4.10:1.

The parade of parts continues inside as luminous red sill plates lure us into a black-on-black leather-trimmed cab with a Blaupunkt audio system and a rear-seat DVD entertainment setup with headrest-mounted screens.

    What's Edmunds' take?
It's kind of tough to mourn the loss of SVT's F-150 Lightning when Ford shows just how easy it is to build your own. — Matt Phenix, Contributor
