SEALY, Texas — A rock star among pickups has been acquired by a TV star who has recently been often in the glare of the tabloid spotlight. Jesse James, owner of West Coast Choppers and former spouse of Sandra Bullock, has taken delivery of a Hennessey F-150 VelociRaptor 575.
The 575 upgrade to the Ford SVT Raptor has a centrifugal supercharger, air-to-air intercooler, high-flow air filter and a fuel injector upgrade, among other tweaks to get the engine to 575 horsepower and 542 pound-feet of torque.
Serial numbered dash and engine plaques and VelociRaptor 575 exterior badging help identify the Hennessey treatment.
The 575 package is available for $10,950. A polished supercharger finish costs $600 extra.
