DEARBORN, Michigan — Ford's brawny F-150 SVT Raptor is catching on with truck buyers, as the automaker boosts production for model year 2012, from two to three units per hour.
Prices also continue to rise. When the powerful off-road model debuted in spring 2010, stickers started at $38,995. Ford bumped up prices in model year 2011, when it added a SuperCrew Cab variant and made the 411-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 standard.
The 2012 F-150 SVT Raptor Super Cab is priced from $43,565, while the Raptor SuperCrew Cab starts at $46,465. Prices include a $995 shipping charge.
Ford said it sold 7,085 Raptors last year. Through the first 10 months of 2011, Raptor sales have climbed to 8,105 and remain in extremely short supply, according to the company.
Dealers have less than 21 days' worth of Raptors on their lots, and the typical Raptor sits on the showroom floor for only 16 days — another measure of its popularity and scarcity.
Inside Line says: Surprisingly, Ford also says there is "strong international demand" for the Raptor.

I love my 2011 Raptor. It is big and not very good on gas but everyone sacrifices something if they think its worth while. See ya at the gas bar pass ya in the ditch!

socalbluflame, the 2010 model year started in May 2009 and ran until October 2010. The sales figures reported above are for calendar years.

So your report is not correct because in the 2010 run of the Raptor: I own #8639 of 10437 built in Dearborn and off the assembly line September 8th, 2010. Some more details for you about mine are: #1201 of 1472 Blue Flames built. #4228 of 5802 with the 6.2L engine and finally, #509 of 830 Blue Flames with the 6.2L engine.
This is per a document issued by FORD SVT regarding my VIN number. So I think your information is wrong. Just so you know...

I saw one today on the freeway. Really like the style and body kit. But would rather see the same bold styling on a smaller truck. That thing is way too big.

How about Ford brings out a diesel version with their aborted 4.4L motor? Anyone seriously going offroad, such as many Sheriffs and BP agents in the Southwest, would love the extra range.

THEY NEED TO FISHPLATE THE FRAME FOR OFF ROAD ABUSE, THEN THEY WILL HAVE A GREAT TRUCK. BUT FORD ISN'T THE ONLY ONE WITH PROBLEMS. CHALLENGER HAS BODY TWIST ALSO, THAT IT'S CRACKING QUARTER PANELS, BECAUSE OF THE FLEX .

Great. Use up all the gas so we can move on to something else.

10k sales a year doesn't impress me, considering Ford sells over 500k trucks a year
An F-150 in the mid-40's isn't exactly news
And the MORE expensive King Ranch probably outsells it by a large margin......
