Concept Car: Ford Desert Excursion

    1 Rating
The Excursion is big. Really big. Sometimes it can be a pain to drive with those pesky cars and pedestrians always getting the way. Best to go somewhere where there is plenty of open space and nobody around to care about single-digit miles-per-gallon ratings. Like the desert, for instance...

The Desert Excursion concept SUV is designed to be the ultimate go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle. Based on the new 2000 Excursion, the Desert Excursion has been customized to take on the most extreme weather conditions and terrain. To accomplish this, it has a small cargo bed, heavy-duty shocks and skid plates, a steel bumper, more-powerful PIAA lights, and oversized wheels and tires. The weatherproofed interior can hold up to six people, and the rear window and seats can be folded down for increased loading capacity or access to the cargo bed from the cabin. There are also bigger gauges, a navigation system and a removable cooler located in the console.
