LONDON — Fiat can't stop tinkering with the 500. This time, the Italian automaker rolls out the Fiat 500C Pink convertible for the U.K.

The convertible version will be a limited run of just 300 units and carry a price tag that's the U.S. equivalent of $20,454. Fiat said the 500C Pink convertible is spun off the 1.2 Pop specification and features 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome trim, body-colored door mirrors, a leather steering wheel, a Pink key cover, split-folding seat and a Blue&Me infotainment system.

Fiat describes this latest model as "one of several limited-edition Fiat 500 models planned for 2010."

The convertible has its genesis in the shocking-pink Fiat 500 created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Barbie doll last March. Britain's Top Gear described the one-off as "an all-time low for taste and decency."

I think the fiat convertible that was introduced in 1957 looks quite similar to the actual one. It is very cute and chic though. I think this car it is the perfect car for girls as we love small, cute and reliable cars.

It is a cute toy, but the rear visibility looks bad.

Fiat should hinge the trunk lid at the bottom.  You need to get out of the car to lower the top, so moving the the rear to open the trunk is no big problem.  Then you slide the whole top down into the trunk, leaving a clear view of traffic behind you.  With the top up you would have a trunk.

Another option is to lose the rear seat and deposit the top there.

After all, how many people are going to ride around in the toy car?
