GENEVA — The Fiat 500 Coupe Zagato, featuring the signature Zagato "double hump" or "double-bubble" roof originally designed to accommodate racing helmets, debuted at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show.
The post-modern hookup with Zagato, a legendary Italian design house that dates back to the end of World War I and is known for its lightweight and aerodynamic creations, is timely, given soaring fuel prices. The prototype is equipped with a fuel-efficient 105-horsepower TwinAir four-cylinder engine.
Other sporty accents on the 2+2 500 Coupe Zagato include burnished chrome exterior trim and17-inch Chrome Shadow wheels.
Fiat says the prototype is "designed mainly for a young and dynamic male target," but noted that the Pop Yellow exterior paint treatment "accommodates the needs of a female target." The cabin gets yellow chamois and black leather, while the headliner features a shiny "high-tech" fabric, said Fiat.
Curiously, the prototype skips other trademark Zagato touches, such as the absence of side mirrors and flat door handles. No confirmation on whether any production plans are in the works.

@coolb, I thought the twin-air was a turbo, my bad. You're right that 105hp from a NA 1.4 litre engine is not bad. That said, I would still like to see an extra 20-25hp.
And, I meant 100 hp/litre for my engine.

I would suspect this Fiat is using the 1.4 non-turbo, so comparing it to a 1.8T, even if it's 7 years newer, is ridiculous. 7 years difference can't make up for 0.4 liters extra displacement and a turbo.
