2012 Ferraris Come With Free Maintenance for Seven Years

    Just the Facts:
    • Ferrari says its new free seven-year maintenance program is designed to ensure "clients enjoy the maximum peace of mind."
    • The supercar maker is offering free scheduled maintenance to the original owner — and all subsequent owners — during the first seven years.
    • The free maintenance plan is being offered to customers who purchase a new 2012 Ferrari California, 458 Italia or FF.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, New Jersey — Ferrari North America said it will include free scheduled maintenance for seven years to U.S. customers who purchase a new 2012 Ferrari California, 458 Italia or FF.

Unprecedented among luxury and exotic-car manufacturers, the Ferrari Genuine Maintenance Program covers not only the original owner, but also subsequent owners during the first seven years.

Ferrari said the free maintenance plan is designed to ensure "clients enjoy the maximum peace of mind."

The plan provides free scheduled maintenance, including parts and labor, at "standard service intervals." In the U.S., that means every 12,500 miles, or once a year, regardless of mileage.

Ferrari said it is rolling out the free maintenance plan to all global markets over the next few months.

Inside Line says: This could go a long way toward alleviating lingering concerns over safety and reliability after last year's recall of the 458 Italia over fire-related issues.

    @ megatrontype_r , who said...

    "GT-R is faster."

Yes...but its not the fastest!  If there was a two lane highway outta hell...and the Devil said last one out is my b!t%h for all eternity...well...he'd be hanging GT-R panties on his bedpost.

I wonder if there is actually an owner that'll put 12,500 miles a year on their new Ferrari.
Good thing it's "or once a year, regardless of mileage."

    jerintampa;

You hit the nail on the head! That is the true essence of what driving a Ferrari is all about. No other car has the soul that a Ferrari has. Case in point is the Italia 458 test versus the McLaren MP4-12C...

GTR isn't a Ferrari! When you drive one, if you were blessed as I was, you'll notice the difference! It feels like you've been initiated by Ferrari's history, culture and passion for racing in a single press of the start button and when you thrash on it, you've realized that no other driving experience has had this much fulfillment that that flick (up-shift) and the ferocious sound that bellows out equals pure happiness! I love the GTR as much as you do but I was never more connected with a car than the 458 Italia!

    GT-R is uglier.

Of course prices are raised. No free lunch.

You'll likely need it, along with a fire extinguisher.

The 458 Italia was the most incredible car I've ever driven and this makes it even better. This is definitely unheard of for this class, will others follow? Probably will raise the price to accommodate this...
