STETTEN, Germany — Novitec Rosso is preparing to release its latest creation, an upgrade of the Ferrari 599 GTB.
Due to be unveiled at the upcoming 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, Novitec's 599 GTB features a modest aero body kit that bundles a front lip spoiler, side skirts with larger air intakes, side flaps, rear wing and rear fascia with integrated diffuser. The enhancements are said to provide additional cooling and more downforce.
Under the skin, Novitec fits a KW Automotive aluminum suspension kit with adjustable ride height. Brakes are specially fabricated Brembos with six-piston calipers. Pirelli P Zero performance tires are mounted on Novitec's N3 alloy wheels — 275/30R20s in front and 355/25R21s in the rear.
The tuner says a major power upgrade is in the pipeline. In the meantime, owners will have to make due with a relatively modest (25 horsepower) boost in output to 645 hp, thanks to a reprogrammed ECU and enhanced exhaust system with larger tailpipes.
