HOLLYWOOD, California — Director Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures have released a new theatrical trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which opens in theaters on July 1.
Known popularly as Transformers 3, the new movie boasts a star-studded cast, including returning Shia LaBeouf, as well as Frances McDormand, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Leonard Nimoy and John Malkovich, with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replacing Megan Fox as LaBeouf's love interest.
Bay has said the Ferrari 458 Italia will appear as an Autobot, while three NASCAR Chevrolet Impalas, initially tagged as Decepticons, will be featured in the Autobot group of Wreckers.
Inside Line says: The latest trailer, which runs 2 minutes 35 seconds, is long on action, but short on cars. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

Thank you for your response, Erin.

Several hours later, it was gone. I thought that it was deleted by one of the editors who didn't like it. I hope I am wrong....

First off, I'd like to comment on whether or not this movie should be news on IL. Personally, I think so. It IS a movie with a lot of great cars in it. Transformers was about robots that turned into something of familiarity that caught the imagination of millions of kids in the 80's. I know a couple of my friends who started liking cars because of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker from Transformers G1. Those were the two lambos. One of those two went on to Art Center for Transportation design. I know that's very isolated but how many others experienced that same thing? So I do think this movie is related to cars in a roundabout way but it's primarily a sci-fi robot movie.
Second, Fast Five is an action movie with cars in it too. I would also like to plug the classic Steve McQueen movie, "LeMans". Hmmm... Should that movie be remade? I wonder...

Wanna see a real gearhead movie, check out Eric Bana's " Love the Beast " or McQueen's " LeMans ".

If that statement wasn't rude as claimed by @dragstrip, then I honestly don't know what is....
You can express your opinions all you want, but do so with some respect to the others who have another point of view.

@ dragstrip:
Your first comment about "everybody else who ensued decided to ride his d--k?" does not back your comment about you being an adult, let alone taking a high road.

True everyone is entitled to their opinion I give you that. Rude? Not really, perhaps I was a little brash....yes. I could have been a bit more tactful. But in all honesty just as yourself I gave my "uncensored" opinion. I could continue to rant but seriously where would that get us. Since I probably am the adult in this manner I'll take the high road ..... As I watch this trailer on this site AGAIN!

Hey kid, everyone has his opinions...if you are a fan of Transformers, fine, but there's no need to be so rude with your post. Grow up!!
You can defend the flick all you want, but do so with some respect to the others who might not share your point of view.

Autobots are cars...c'mon all of you are taking this way too seriously ..... Movies pertaining to cars still show CARS! I could see if this was a upcoming movie about "Thor", "Captain America".....and for some of you...."Bridesmaids". It's the Transformers for sake. I see someone didn't have their bowl of Wheaties this morning! Or did the first person who posted a comment set the tone, and everybody else who ensued decided to ride his d--k? Fill in the blank. Have a good day.
