Tuner Special: Novitec Ferrari F430 Scuderia 16M

STETTEN, Germany — After Ferrari unveiled its 16M convertible variant of the 430 Scuderia, Novitec Rosso immediately went to work to create a tuning package for the topless Italian beast. The result is the F430 Scuderia 16M.

A pair of superchargers bring output on the F430 to 696 horsepower, which is a slight decrease from the 708 hp that Novitec's hardtop Scuderia has under the hood. The vehicle sprints to 60 mph in less than 3.7 seconds from the factory, so expect an even lower number with all the extra power.

The suspension now features a hydraulic coil-over system that raises the nose of the car by just over 1.5 inches at the push of a button — making speed bumps and driveways a lot less intimidating.

Novitec blacked out the taillights, added an extra strip of LEDs in the rear for braking and also outfitted the 16M with custom-painted 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli rubber.

Inside Line says: With a limited production of only 499 16Ms, Novitec gives owners a chance to make their rides even more unique with this tuning program. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
