Whether it's man and machine, model and machine or toddler and machine, a car is more than just hunks of metal, plastic and rubber. It's a discussion-starter at the drive-thru, a piece of art on a stand at the auto show, or a source of dreams for a young kid after he's seen his first Ferrari.
The ways in which we interact with cars are as varied as the cars themselves. Whether we're racing, cruising, shining them up or running them through the mud, cars and trucks are always better when you get in and drive them.
Over the years we've captured not just thousands of images of cars but also hundreds of shots of cars and people together. Some are just looking, others are behind the wheel, but everybody looks happy. That's what cars do, at least for those who are smart enough to appreciate them. The Caption on picture 3 says:
"If these guys knew what the E63 AMG wagon had under the hood they would be staring at it, too."
The car in the picture is an E55, not an E63...

Great stuff! I'm a harsh photo critic, having a BFA in Photography from Brooks. Many of those photos were breathtakingly gorgeous. Scott, you really know your stuff and deserve all the recognition you get! (You other guys too.)
Most notable for me were the Challenger SRT-8 pics, at least on the effectiveness front. I felt like going out and buying one after seeing them!

The guy with the inferno next to his Bentley: I remember that - some journalist lived in a Bentley for a while (since they cost as much as a house). I think it was an article in Automobile a while back.
