Description: All Donkervoorts are based on the Lotus Seven and have no place on a list of exotics. However, because we love to say Donkervoort (go ahead, give it a try) we're going to include it anyway. The D8 GT does distinguish itself from other Donkervoorts (starting to like it, aren't you?) by fully enclosing its rear wheels and cockpit. What's more, the thing is insanely rapid, the 270 RS version having lapped the Nürburgring in 7 minutes, 14 seconds — 15 seconds quicker than a Nissan GT-R.
IL says: We doubt there are any posters of Donkervoorts hanging on kids' walls anywhere but in the Netherlands. But even we simple-minded 'Mericans can recognize a car that must be as fun to drive as it is to talk about.

If the Plymouth Prowler and Robocop could have a love children, this would be among the uglier... and there wouldn't be any pretty ones.

Good grief . . . as if Robocop was a car.

Like a bastard child between a Lotus 7 and a Dodge Viper. On a side note: The door hinges are rather oddly placed.
