AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Chrysler at midnight Monday released the first teaser photo of the 2013 SRT Viper on a dedicated Facebook page.
The mostly shadowy image of the 2013 Viper teases the car's headlamps and roof line, and not much else.
The redesigned Viper debuts late this year and will shed the Dodge brand name in favor of SRT, an acronym for Street and Racing Technology.
SRT previously has served as a sub-brand on high-performance editions of various Dodge models. In December, a Chrysler spokesman told Inside Line that the new Viper will serve as a "halo car" for the SRT brand.
The production version of the car is expected to debut in early April at the 2012 New York Auto Show, when Chrysler also plans to announce engine specs.
Chrysler is reopening its Connor Avenue assembly plant on Detroit's east side to build the 2013 Viper.

I have had 94 R/T 10,97 GTS,and 2001 R/T 10 always enjoyed raw power of them all. Gen.2 was perfect ! Dealer lent me 03 during service for afternoon,it road very smooth, forgot I was driving a Viper I hope it goes back to to the beast, C.S. ment it to be.A car designed for drivers not status symbols.

Chrysler took a big chance with its first Viper, and it was proven to be a good decision. Now they're making a good decision again on a limited edition 2013 Dodge Viper, I only hope it will as revolutionary for Chrysler, as the first one was.

this is interesting.. hopefully they improve on the handling ,traction & quality.
if they get help from sister company ferrari.. this new viper will be so interesting.

Ralph Gilles said it was inspired by "a naked woman on the beach"...This teaser photo leads me to believe that there are in fact NO lovely lady parts on this car. Unless it has a Kim Kardashian trunk...Thoroughly disappointed & completely let down. Thanks for nothing, Ralph.

Part of it looks like the most recent viper the other part being the middle looks like a viper from the early 90's
