Tuner Special: Hurst 50th-Anniversary Dodge Viper

IRVINE, California — Hurst Performance Vehicles is celebrating its 50th anniversary by selling a limited-edition Dodge Viper with both aesthetic and performance modifications.

The Viper will feature one of the company's signature pistol-grip shifters, Hurst wheels and a Katzkin leather interior. Performance has been addressed with a Corsa exhaust, Moton adjustable coil-overs with Eibach springs and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. For the company's golden anniversary, the cars will be available in either black or white paint with gold stripes. Just 50 of the anniversary Vipers will be built beginning in December.

The first production Hurst Viper will be custom-made with flat-finish gold paint, black racing stripes and black chrome wheels. It will be sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction next month to benefit the children's charity Victory Junction.
