There's nothing special about this. It's the same thing as upgrading a vehicle with aftermarket parts. Search Silverado Runner. You will see several upgraded Silvys to do Runner work. This is merely an aftermarket upgraded Ram. It's not even a good one at that. It has less maximum travel. It doesn't have hill climb or hill descent control like the Raptor. Plus It lacks purpose built from the ground up engineering. The Raptor is on sale all ready built up. And it's built from scratch as a Runner (The Raptor is a Runner) so you can bet that it's a load more reliable than this modified Chrysler. This still has the less Hp, and Torque 5.7 vs the Raptors 6.2.  Not to mention I can add my own parts to a regular half-ton truck and make a better Runner than this. You can bet it aint street legal like they said it would be, so that leaves the Raptor XT Running dog with stronger steel, more suspension travel, and race bred/winning history. A Raptor is a bird of prey like an Eagle, a Hawk, and Falcon, not a Velociraptor dino (unless you mean the Hennessey upgraded Raptor). The Ram Blunder stage 2 also has less travel, weaker steel, no race bred engineering. Don't bother with the Chrysler aftermarket crap.  Go to Race Works and they'll build you a much better Runner. Find an aftermarket company that has experience in the Runner industry.

Inside Line SEZZZZZZZZZZ ? ? ? When have they ever got anything right???  I see everyone is CRYING about how much this "kit" costs O V E R the Raptor.  But if you look at a coulpe of INSIDE LINE's own articles the Raptor can get up and over $50,000 itself ??? with this Mopar kit you can pick and choose what you would like on YOUR truck !  I'd imagine the sticker coud actually be UNDER the base cost of a Raptor's $38k sticker.
If you add up everything with the stage1 your only plus $11k ???? only if you get into the stage2 kit dose it really add up... I'm sure the Stage2 kit would blow away the Raptor.  Stage 1 or 2 looks like it could be put on any Ram Crew Cab priced from $28 to $39k minus options
So where did they get " THE FULL BOAT " adding $20k ??????  That jus don't add up ??

I think it looks better than the Raptor.  But it would be better if it were a stand-alone truck offered right from Ram.  Nobody wants to pay $60K for something like this when there is one just like it at the Ford dealership for $40K.  Also, if Ram made it, then they could stick a 6.1 liter Hemi in it.  And "Runner" is the best name they could find?  It's really too bad Raptor was already taken.  Ram Raptor would be sweet.

Looks sweet!  I like the Ford too.  GM needs some thing like this.  Toyota and Nissan should just give it up already.

I actually like the way this looks a little better than the Raptor...

But I'd still buy the Ford.  ;)

Of course the raptor is a better value, unless of course you already have a dodge truck

Its nice they are offering it, if you bought a used truck you could do it cheaper.

I still think the Raptor is the better value. 40k for the truck that's already specially designed and built from the ground up. Yeah you can modify your Ram to have this kind of thing, but the Raptor was designed for off-roading.

    Obligatory Raptor fighter...

Even being a Mopar guy, I can't say I like the look of the Rallye hood ontop the big truck.  Maybe should have thought of a T/A hood instead.

I'd also like to see more performance goodies.

A "do it yourself" Raptor rip-off?  20g's on top of a already 40k Ram?  No thanks.
