    Just the Facts:
    • Chrysler has released several more teaser photos of the interior of its all-new 2013 Dodge Dart.
    • New images include a shot of the entire instrument panel, with "racetrack" ambient lighting, and a close-up of a perforated-leather seat.
    • An iConnect touchscreen is mounted in the center of the dash.

    AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Chrysler has released several more teaser photos of the interior of its all-new 2013 Dodge Dart, ahead of the car's debut at next month's 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

    New images include a shot of the entire instrument panel, with "racetrack" ambient lighting around the gauge cluster, and a close-up of a perforated-leather seat.

    The new Dart's much-classier dash looks light-years beyond the much-maligned instrument panel in the outgoing Dodge Caliber.

    Chrysler said, in an earlier release, that the 2013 Dart will feature a customizable 7.0-inch gauge cluster, an 8.4-inch touchscreen multimedia center, a variety of storage options and even an optional heated steering wheel.

    Inside Line says: Chrysler has been promising upgraded interiors throughout its lineup for some time. Looks like it's delivering on the promise.

    Mostlymopar, I agree.  It almost looks aftermarket or tacky.  Some would call it ghetto but I'm sure there are people in the sticks that like this stuff too.  Remember that black interior absorbs the sun.  Remember that when your entering your car on a ninety degree day and your dash is cracking in just four years.

    Hope the motors are as durable as the slant sixes I had in mine.

    Slick concept car....very slick.  Now let's hope Dodge doesn't go through the aged stark black interior with the stupid red instrument dash light scheme.  I'm so sick of boring black interiors with bright red dash lighting I could scream.  Maybe Audi and BMW will wake up and start intalling cool blue or lazer green instrument dash lighting then all the other car manufacturers will follow in their path.  Oh yeah, Audi....BMW....ditch the red interior instrument lights and go with yellow or purple and see what the other guys do.  You might be surprised.

    Looking forward to this one. My first car was a 68 Dart, and although I rarely drive it, I still own it. I have recently started restoring it. See it at www.68dart.com

    @phoenixj

    Good catch, we don't know for certain it is a sedan, it may be a hatchback, like the Dodge Shadow.

    I say just give us the real Italian version but I'm interested to see how an Alfa-Chrysler compact pans out.  So far, it looks damned good!!!

    Why does a car that has been seen in spy pictures and teased on this very website, and is clearly a sedan, have a rear wiper control on it's control stalk?

    Yes, too much stuff on the turn stalk. But, the images released so far hint at what could be a well executed vehicle.

    Wouldn't that be something?  The upset of the 2013 model year. Could happen...

    Could we just get the actual Alfa Romeo Giulietta or MiTO,  please?
