SANTA FE SPRINGS, California — Hotchkis has unveiled a pair of throwback Challengers — one being a 2009 SRT8 and the other a 1970 T/A 340 Six-Pack — that showcase its appreciation for both classic and modern muscle and are ready to make their debut at the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas next month.
The cars have in common a yellow paint scheme, similar graphics, wheels and a variety of other performance modifications.
The '70 Challenger, code-named "E-Max," was converted to 340 Six-Pack trim by the old owner. Hotchkis took the vehicle under its wing and gave it quite the treatment, including new fabricated steel upper A-arms bolted into relocated pickup point brackets, fabricated strut rods with Heim joints, aluminum steering rods, a new balanced front and rear sway bar package and performance springs that slam the vehicle 2 inches closer to the ground.
Other features include Stoptech brakes, Forgeline wheels, Yokohama tires, a throaty Flowmaster exhaust and a Hurst pistol grip knob.
Inside Line says: There's bound to be a tuned Challenger you like this year at SEMA. &mdash Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
