    What is it?

    What's special about it?

An all-new Leganza will debut for the 2002 model year. Our humble opinion is that it is rather attractive, a statement that generally couldn't be said about other Daewoo products. Highlights will include front and side curtain airbags, ABS, four-wheel disc brakes and an optional GPS navigation system. For power, Daewoo has equipped the Leganza with an all-new engine. The transverse-mounted, 2.5-liter, inline six-cylinder engine makes 180 horsepower and is said to meet ULEV emission requirements. The car will go on sale in the summer of 2002 and pricing is expected to be similar to current Leganza models.

    Why should you care?

Despite all of Daewoo's financial problems, the company has come up with what seems to be an intriguing successor to the current Leganza. It fits Daewoo's general practice of offering a lot of feature content for an affordable price. Add in a smooth inline six-cylinder engine and a much-improved exterior, and you've got a car that might truly compete with the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
