PARIS — Citroen's critically and popularly acclaimed new DS gets a stablemate with the introduction of the new DS4, a five-door hatchback model with, the automaker claims, three "full-size" rear seats. The DS4 will be officially unveiled at the 2010 Paris Auto Show in September.
A notable exterior feature is the rear doors with hidden handles, which Citroen touts as "combining coupe style with 2+2-door practicality." LED lighting is illuminated both day and night. The large wheel arches accommodate wheels and tires in sizes up to 19 inches.
Citroen is offering two HDi diesel and three gasoline engines that were co-developed with BMW, making 120, 155 and 200 horsepower. An e-HDI "microhybrid" version will be available from launch on models using the HDi 110 engine, featuring a new-generation Stop & Start system that cuts engine power when the vehicle is stopped in traffic, an energy-recovering alternator and other energy-saving technology.
The interior has a panoramic windshield that offers up to 45 degrees of upward vision and extends into the roof line, as well as chrome trim and chrome-surround instrumentation, a choice of five combinations of leather seating — including two-tone — and aluminum pedals. Options include massaging front seats and a "soundscaping" advanced audio system, as well as four choices of reminder sound types: Classic, Crystal Symphony, Jungle Fantasy or Urban Rythmik.
The DS4 is expected to go on sale sometime in 2011.

As an American, I have no experience with Citroen but what is their current reputation on reliability? This actually looks pretty decent to me but I'd like to know what I'm looking at as far as build-quality reputation.

I think it looks "Juke-ish", (except the front end, of course)
Now every manufacturer wants to hide the rear door handles in the C-pillar.
