    Just the Facts:
    • Chrysler shows new S "concept" editions of the 200, 300 and Town & Country at the annual Spring Festival of LXs in California.
    • For now, the S packages are mostly cosmetic treatments.
    • The 200 S Convertible should arrive first at Chrysler dealers later this spring.

IRVINE, California — Chrysler teased new S "concept" editions of the 200 convertible, 300 sedan and Town & Country minivan at the annual Spring Festival of LXs here, and confirmed the 200 S Convertible should begin arriving at U.S. dealers later this spring.

The S packages are mostly cosmetic treatments on existing models, designed to appeal to younger buyers. Chrysler isn't releasing prices yet, nor has it said exactly when the 300 S and Town & Country S will be available in showrooms.

The 300 S gets a gunmetal finish, revised grille, tinted headlamps and taillamps, unique alloy wheels and a deck-lid spoiler. The cabin features red leather seats with contrasting white stitching.

The 200 S Convertible has Chrysler's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 under the hood, and offers a choice of four colors. It sports a gloss-black grille, tinted headlamps, unique 18-inch aluminum wheels, black leather seats and a Boston Acoustics audio system.

The Town & Country S features new wheels, a mesh grille, silver accents and leather seats.

Looks more battleship gray to me, but whatever.  I like what I sees.  Now how about that 8-speed for the LY cars?

I may not know art, but I know what I like.  And this ain't it... :-(

It is a nicely put together package, but I've never really been into that part of the mod culture.  For me, if it doesn't improve performance, comfort, or usability, it ain't worth adding.

Like many others, I'm still waiting on the 8-sp auto.  And maybe a Fiat turbo-diesel.

ah, well the fake fender vents comment is still funny from a guy with buick in his name. A company that puts them on as standard equipment.

I like the new 300.  I wonder what the SRT version is going to look like

As far as "lipstick on a pig"?

I guess that pretty much sums up all Hondas and Toyotas nowadays.

If you put lipstick on a pig it's still a pig.

Debuts???? If this was the debut, how the heck did I sit in a 200 S at the Chicago Auto Show? It was white with a black interior.

    @ boostedbuick
    "fake fender vents optional"

LOL. I started to believe for a while there that Chrysler had been making them an option, people do some tacky things to their cars.

Finally a 300 that doesn't have too much chrome. I like.
