2010 Chrysler Town & Country Walter P. Chrysler Signature Series Unveiled

    21 Ratings

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Walter P. Chrysler Signature Series minivan, an appearance package that adds luxury amenities such as perforated leather seats and fancy stitching, will arrive in showrooms in the first quarter of 2010. It is priced at $33,365, including an $820 destination charge.

The reliance on the name of Chrysler's founder for this special model of the minivan is intriguing, given that the automaker is now in the hands of the Italians. But the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Sergio Marchionne Signature Series just doesn't have the right ring, apparently.

The special minivan is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include Stow 'n Go seating, Media Center 430 radio with touchscreen and 30-gigabyte hard drive media storage, second- and third-row 9-inch dual-DVD entertainment system, heated first- and second-row seats and LED lighting with an ambient halo light ring. It also has "Walter P. Chrysler Signature Series" front door badging.

Chrysler says the special model is available in new Deep Cherry Red Pearl Coat exterior paint.

Interior could use better materials but over all its what families need mius some #'s.  Mini vans are suppose to be mini-vans and finally bring V.W.'s diesel to north america.  This vehical is so close to what it should be.

I have the 2008 Walter P. Chrysler Signature Series.  It is a fantastic vehicle and I think it is actually the most attractive minivan on the market.  The Odyssey and Sienna still have too much of the "dustbuster" look for me.  I can't believe that anyone who spends any time in the TNC would even consider one of the other minivans.

I don't have any children left at home, but decided to buy a minivan to because it is one of the most flexible vehicles on the road today.  The Stow-N-Go seating is a marvel of engineering, and the 3.8L V6 seems much more powerful than the 3.5L V6 that was in my Pacifica.

Honestly this the least attractive minivans out in the market. I  really don't undersstand why car makers come up with an uglier looking model evertime they come up with a new generation model.

This is the most functional of all the minivans, All other minivans out there lack something atleast why can they make this attractive looking?

Previous generation van looked really good looking lacking the functionality of the new model.

Minivan is already the least favourite of all other automobiles, why do they want to chase away few minivan  lowers who go shop elsewhere because of the looks

I recently drove a few of these for a rental agency.  After hundreds of miles, I came back impressed.  Fully loaded examples like this are definitely the way to go.  Interior materials were deplorable.  Assembly and design was above average, however.  I was most impressed with the way the Caravan drove.  I've driven many older Caravans and have personally experienced the low quality that has placed Chrysler in its current situation.  The new ones are VERY solid.   Ride is soft, but still well controlled, almost like a German car...  If I wanted a nice, safe, soft minivan I'd purchase one (I'm sure dealers are trying to get rid of them).  However, I personally prefer the sportier drive of the Odyssey.

Would have been better if they could have gotten Walter P to fix the lousy brakes.
