    What Is It?
    Chrysler PT California Cruiser Concept

    What's Special About It?
The California Cruiser is another concept vehicle based on the popular PT Cruiser. It's a two-door like the upcoming PT Cruiser convertible, and it's meant to attract buyers in warm-weather climates.

The top and windshield have been chopped a few inches, and the roof is nearly all glass. The front-half of the glass is power retractable to become a sunroof, and the rear window and small windows above the rear wheels can be lowered to further the open-air experience.

Inside, the Cruiser's decor has been stylized to give it a customized look. Silver accent trim is used throughout, and the rear bench seat has been replaced with individual buckets. Those rear seats can be folded flat to increase cargo space.

    Why Should You Care?
Chrysler press notes state that the California Cruiser is on the leading edge of "true coolness" and that it is "hip." But you know about cool. If you have to say you're cool, you're probably not. Still, given the company's history of turning concept cars into reality, a California Cruiser production car is a distinct possibility. — Brent Romans
