We've known for months what the Volt will look like, but the 2011 Chevrolet Volt Spy Video confirms that the production styling will change very little.

The look of the 2011 Chevrolet Volt isn�t really news anymore, but we figured you might like to see it being tested in the same harsh conditions as every other vehicle in GM�s lineup.

Controlling heat has long been problematic for electric cars. If these Volt prototypes could keep temperatures under control in the triple digit heat of Death Valley, they should be fine just about anywhere else in the U.S.

Although there are a few pieces of camouflage on these prototypes, we�re not expecting any styling changes to the Volt at this point.

Chevrolet is still expecting to start production of the Volt in late 2010, so any changes at this point would likely stall the program.

Judging from the way these test mules were making their way up Town�s pass, however, the program looks like it�s progressing nicely.

Expect to see plenty more from Chevrolet as the Volt nears productin, but for now this is likely the only chance you�ll have to see one of these electric car on the road.
