In this latest recall, the Traverse may have a parking brake cable link that is not to specification, according to NHTSA's recall summary of the problem.
"This connector may fracture when the park brake pedal is depressed," said the federal watchdog. "If the transmission shift lever is in the park position, there will be no unintended vehicle movement. However, if the keys are left in the ignition, the transmission shift lever is in any position other than park and the vehicle is parked on a sufficient slope, it could result in unintended vehicle movement. This could result in a crash without prior warning."
Chevrolet dealers will replace the parking brake cable link for free. The recall will begin sometime in June. Owners can contact Chevrolet at (800) 630-2438.

The above thought is smart and doesn't require any further addition. It's perfect thought from my side.
