Chevrolet announced at SEMA that the 2000 Chevrolet Suburban will get a Z71 off-road package, similar to the one that debuted last year on its little brother, the Chevy Tahoe. The package improves the Suburban's off-road capabilities via modified suspension pieces. The new Suburban is no slouch when it comes to off-road performance, so the Z71 package should be added gravy.
The Suburban Z71 shown at the SEMA show was painted in a special two-tone custom California Gold Pearl Metallic and Dark Argent. Its special front fascia featured an integral skid plate, fog lamps and tow hooks. Also exclusive for the Z71 was an integrated roof rack with rear facing lights. Wheel flares and special ground effects added a touch of sportiness to the package.
