CHICAGO — The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD are debuting at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show and go on sale this summer.
The new heavy-duty models have been freshened with new grilles, chrome steel front bumpers and louvered power-dome-style hoods, as well as a choice of new 17-, 18- and 20-inch wheel/tire combinations.
The Duramax 6.6-liter diesel and Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission have been upgraded — the engine can now run on B20 biodiesel — and Chevrolet has redesigned the trucks' frames and suspensions. Also new is a "smart" exhaust brake system.
Among the available technologies are mobile Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, XM Satellite Radio, OnStar and navigation.
Chevy plans to offer more than 18 different heavy-duty models of the Silverado, including a new 3500HD Crew Cab with a 6.5-foot cargo box. Trim levels include WT, LT and LTZ.

Why would I need Wi-Fi in a truck?
