PONTIAC, Michigan — General Motors will roll out the revamped 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty ranges this summer with a variety of changes, notably more towing and payload capacity.

GMC is also adding a premium Denali model to the Sierra HD series.

The Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD come standard with a 6.0-liter Vortec gasoline V8 rated at 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Optional is a revised 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel V8 that now delivers 397 hp and a muscular 765 lb-ft and is equipped with an Allison 1000 six-speed transmission.

The Duramax engine provides an improvement in highway fuel economy of up to 11 percent, as well as increases in towing and payload capacity. The Silverado and Sierra 3500HD models with fifth wheel now can tow up to 20,000 pounds, with payload capacity of more than 6,300 pounds.

I see they have not made the front fender bigger so you can add a bigger tire without lifting the truck.  The people who design these truck must really not know about what truck owners want.  You are continually helping ford and dodge.

I have a Denali AWD 1500 with all the goodies but the washer fliud htr. and the rear window.

I like all of it and would like a few other options avalible on other GM/GMC vehicles.

That said, that is why GM offers GMC and Chevy trucks so you can buy more of a MAN'S truck, as has been stated in other comments. I like my air conditioned seats too, but I work on my farm and get sweaty but if you dont like it don't order it just like the wood look.

A few things I would like to see added are,110V in cab and bed, side and rear hidden folding steps, retracting electric running boards, engine bay/bed lights, halo lights option, airbags or hydralics for levelig or ride height changes on the fly. Just a few ideas.

I don't like the woodgrain in any truck. I also would like different wheels. THe star shape doesn't fit on those trucks

I agree with the woodgrain interior comment. It has to go...

I wish in the process of "revamping" these trucks, GM would have spent a little more time tossing that horrible looking woodgrain from the interiors.  It's cheap, and not exactly throwing the masculine appearance GM wants the owners of these trucks to see in the vehicle.

I liked the old Sierra Denali. This grille just looks weird. Nice to see they're still using clearly questionable wood". Front lip is too low as well.
