- 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche: It's unclear at this time if the Avalanche will survive when Chevrolet redesigns its full-size truck lineup due in 2013. Although the Suburban on which it's based is expected to remain a traditional body-on-frame SUV, the lower-volume Avalanche could be dropped altogether.
Chevrolet Camaro
- 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1: This on-again, off-again project finally came to fruition sometime in 2011. It will use the same supercharged, 6.2-liter V8 as the Cadillac CTS-V, so expect well over 500 horsepower. Judging by the most recent spy photos, the Camaro ZL1 will get a taller hood and unique wheels and tires among its many performance-oriented upgrades.
Chevrolet Colorado
- 2012 Chevrolet Colorado: This is likely to be the last year for Chevrolet's compact truck. GM has already announced that it plans to shut down the Shreveport, Louisiana, plant where the Colorado is produced by June of 2012. No firm plans for a replacement are currently in the works.
Chevrolet Corvette
- 2014 Chevrolet Corvette: The seventh-generation Corvette (C7) is expected to arrive in 2013 as a 2014 model. It will remain a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive car and is expected to feature a split-rear window configuration similar to the 1963 model. Designs for the car are being submitted by GM studios all over the world in an attempt to give the car more broad-based appeal.
Chevrolet Cruze
- 2013 Chevrolet Cruze Coupe: Look for a two-door version of the Chevrolet Cruze sedan to arrive sometime in 2012. Although there has been no official announcement of such a car, GM product chief Mark Reuss has said publicly that "it's a nice idea, and it may show up in the global market." That's about as close to a confirmation as you're going to get these days.
Chevrolet Equinox
- 2012 Chevrolet Equinox Hybrid: A gas-electric hybrid version of the Chevrolet Equinox is expected to arrive in 2011. It will likely use GM's dual-mode hybrid system in conjunction with the current model's 3.0-liter V6.
Chevrolet Express Van
- 2013 Chevrolet Express Van: It's been on the market for quite a while now, so don't expect any big changes to GM's full-size van lineup. As tougher fuel-economy standards loom, however, look for the introduction of smaller, more efficient engines throughout the Express lineup.
Chevrolet Impala
- 2014 Chevrolet Impala: A full redesign of Chevrolet's biggest sedan is expected by the 2014 model year. It will ride on a front-wheel-drive platform and likely use V6 engines.
Chevrolet Malibu
- 2013 Chevrolet Malibu: A mildly redesigned version of the current Malibu is planned for the 2013 model year. The overall design won't change much, but the Malibu's interior and electronics will get a major update.
Chevrolet Silverado
- 2013 Chevrolet Silverado: GM delayed plans for its redesigned pickup after major changes to fuel-efficiency standards were enacted. Now it looks like we'll see an all-new Silverado by 2013. Expect to see a very different engine lineup as Chevrolet works to squeeze more mileage out of its strong-selling full-size truck.
Chevrolet Sonic
- 2012 Chevrolet Sonic: This compact four-door hatchback will arrive in late 2011. It replaces the previous Aveo in the Chevrolet lineup. Power comes from either a 1.8-liter inline-four or the same 1.4-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder used in the larger Cruze sedan.
Chevrolet Suburban
- 2014 Chevrolet Suburban: Plans for a redesign were put on hold as GM reassessed its position in the face of tightening fuel regulations. At this point, Chevrolet is expected to go ahead with plans for a redesign based on the next-generation truck platform but it's not expected to arrive until 2013.
Chevrolet Tahoe
- 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe: The fate of the Tahoe is uncertain at this point. Chevrolet may remake the Tahoe into a smaller, crossover-type vehicle or simply drop it from the lineup altogether.
Chevrolet Traverse
- 2013 Chevrolet Traverse: No major changes are expected until roughly the 2013 model year.
Chevrolet Volt
- 2014 Chevrolet Volt: Sales figures are doing well for the Volt. An update isn't expected until the 2014 Model Year at the earliest.

When is someone going to come up with something that will compete with the Jeep Wranger? I hate the 4-door models (another suburban assult vehicle-Yawn!) The Wrangler also gets terrible envirnomental (Green)ratings. I would love it if someone would come up with a "lighter" version of a Wrangler. I just want something that I can go off road, ride the sand dunes and have the option of a top that could be taken off to enjoy a sunny day. I loved my Tracker's excellent gas mileage and have some incredible off road stories. But my Jeep friends called it my "Barbie Jeep" (Embarrassed). Can someone come up with something in between??? Jeep almost did it with the Patriot, but the four-door and only available in hard-top makes it too fuddy-duddy to drive.

Can't wait to see the design submissions for the 2013 Corvette! I just hope they don't get too close to the ridiculous "Transformer" car they are saying is a preview-VOMIT!

well the redesign of the impala can't come any sooner. Honestly that car has looked the same it seems forever. No! The Tahoe! Even though the demand for big suvs isn't as big as it used to be there is still a demand and i wished that the automotive spectrum and emissions standards realized this. Dropping the tahoe would be bad because it sells better than the suburban. Combining them and meeting in the middle with one tahoe/suburban suv wouldn't be a bad compromise, yet keeping both if possible would be the best way to go.

Sounds like GM is doing to the Colorado what Ford is doing with the Ranger. Too bad since the demand is there for a new pick up.

What ever happened to the Nomad to be built off the 04 Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky chassis.????......yes I know they went out of production but that 04 Nomad concent was really cool and Chevy would have had me at hello. How about a Nomad and build it off the Cruze?

The death of the Colorado, Tahoe, and Avalanche doesn't seem like a surprise. I guess since Chevrolet has no interest in building a truck that people want (Colorado), they just drop it and close the plant. BUILD A COMPETITIVE TRUCK AND KEEP PEOPLE WORKING!!!
Oh wait, that makes sense.

Drop the Tahoe.... They can't drop the Tahoe!
