TOKYO — Gran Turismo for the PSP is officially out as of yesterday, and Sony developer Polyphony Digital has released a cool advertisement to hype it. In the ad, a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 laps the famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California.
Originally posted on the official PlayStation blog, the ad shows Tanner Foust playing Gran Turismo PSP in the passenger seat of the ZR1 while it's racing around the track. Foust is piloting the ZR1 virtually around the same track as the real driver — and they both successfully pass a Ford GT and Nissan GT-R in the process.
The game features 800 cars and 35 tracks. It is available as a Universal Media Disc or 957MB download from the PlayStation Store for $39.99.
As for Gran Turismo 5 news, Sony announced at the 2009 Tokyo Game Show last week that the game is slated for a March release in the Japan market. Although an international release date hasn't been unveiled, Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi said that the U.S. and Europe should not be far behind Japan in getting the game.
