Unveiled: Competition Sport Corvette

DETROIT — Chevrolet says its new Competition Sport Corvette is aimed at "the Corvette purist and driving enthusiast," especially those who attend driving schools and track events.

The CSC package includes some serious hardware and is available on the Corvette Z06 and Z51 models. Chevy bundles the Z51 performance package with a performance exhaust, red-painted brake calipers, differential cooler, Z06 tail spoiler and special engine cover. Inside, the CSC kit adds a head-up display and GCA racing pedals.

The CSC package also includes Competition Gray exterior stripes, wheels and headlamps, as well as an ebony interior with titanium embroidery. Chevy also will send owners a set of racing-style numbers for the exterior, based on the car's build sequence.

Exterior colors are limited to Black, Arctic White and Blade Silver.
