TOMS RIVER, New Jersey — SLP Performance Parts has released full details on its supercharged 2010 ZL575 Camaro that is based on the SS version of the muscle car.

Performance modifications include a TVS 2300 high-output supercharger (from Magnuson) that is similar to the one used on the 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1 and helps gets output to 575 horsepower. The company continues with an axle-back exhaust with 4-inch dual-wall tips, a cold-air induction system and a sport suspension package that lowers the chassis by 1 inch and gives the vehicle a more aggressive stance.

SLP also gives the car an extensive exterior treatment with a unique rear spoiler, hood with heat extractor scoop and fascia close-out panel, gloss black rear taillight and quarter panel and a bunch of badges with the tuner's name. A set of 20-inch five-spoke dubs with ZL center caps finish off the treatment and provide a bit of a throwback look with a powder-coated red line on the outer edge of the rim.

The tuner also embroiders the "ZL575 Supercharged" logo on the headrests, and the interior gets further upgraded with premium front floor mats dressed in the same logo. Other accessories include a car cover, dash plaque and key fob that are sequentially numbered, as well as a leather-bound portfolio. All of the above modifications come in a package with a price of $22,995.

SLP offers optional upgrades like rally-style dual painted stripes for $995, heritage-style hockey stick side stripes for $850 or a Brembo sport disc brake package that will cost an extra $2,590.

Only 250 versions each of the manual and automatic will be built out of SLP's Toms River, New Jersey, facility, and every car will come with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty. The ZL575 package is available through any Chevrolet dealer, and you can check out the company's Web site for more details.

Inside Line says: This tuner offers a very comprehensive package for the 2010 Camaro — that is also somewhat affordable. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
