SEMA has nothing to do with exotics. I believe "hot" in the scope of this article has to do with the aftermarket community and the amount/quality/range of customized vehicles based on the stock automobiles listed:

"The SEMA award allows us to celebrate the outstanding vehicles and trends in the specialty-parts industry," said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO, in a statement on Tuesday. "We will be able to tap into the exhibitors' unique ability to identify what's hot, just as the trends are gaining momentum."

Why is the Outback being considered? It is nothing more than a lifted Legacy wagon not an SUV.

Toyota Tundra?  You have GOT to be Kidding? The only one that thinks that is a hot vehicle is the TOYOTA dealership geting paid to FIX RECALLS on them

Where's the Ferrari mention?  In all seriousness the Scion Tc and the Sonata should not be included in the running.  The Scion hasn't really changed, and the Sonata isn't all that original when compared to the Mercedes and VW counterparts.
