LAS VEGAS — GM outlined its customization options for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro on Monday at the 2008 SEMA Show, offering a long list of items from a smoker's package to a short-throw shifter.
In a reassuring disclaimer, the automaker noted that the performance parts are "50-state legal" and in some cases, their cost can be "rolled into the vehicle's financing."
Camaro promised to be the darling of the aftermarket extravaganza, not only with the four Camaro concepts on display, but with the attention that clearly was paid to personalization options.
Camaro owners can take advantage of such items as an accessory trim kit that lets them match or contrast the vehicle's exterior color. The interior trim kit is available in yellow, orange, white and silver and is available for Camaros equipped with the factory illumination package.
Floor mats, sill plates and a smoker's package are among the interior accessories offered on the new Camaro. Other custom options include an accessory footwell and cupholder lighting kit and a satin nickel fuel door.
The four wheel choices include 17-,18-, 20- and 21-inchers. Performance parts include a short-throw shifter developed by Hurst, exhaust kits, engine cover kits, heads and air box kits. Accessory stripe kits are also part of the customization lineup for Camaro.
