The 2008 Aveo5 hatchback was offered in a special edition at $10,895. There is no similar trim level for 2009.
Chevrolet said it will also market uplevel LT versions of the Aveo and Aveo5, priced starting at $14,255 for the 1LT package and $15,520 for the 2LT package. Both packages include air-conditioning.
For 2009, the Aveo gets a new, more powerful 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 107 horsepower. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic.
Standard features include dual front and side airbags, a tire pressure monitor and OnStar.
