SÃO PAULO, Brazil — General Motors has released the first official image of the new Chevrolet Agile that goes into production later this year in Argentina and will be marketed across the Mercosur region, including Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
A sister model to the Agile is expected to go into production in 2011 at GM's plant in Orion Township, Michigan. Other variants will be produced around the globe, in such locations as China and India.
The Agile will go on sale in October in South America. The hatchback will be followed by several variants, including a crossover and a pickup.
