Caterham Calling for Online Help To Craft Its Next Performance Car

    0 Ratings
CATERHAM, England — Saying it wants to create a "worthy stablemate for the iconic Caterham 7," Caterham Cars is launching an online quest to create a new performance car. The British specialty marque said the venture "will seek to produce a prototype vehicle which could become an addition to its model range as early as 2011."

The curious can join Project Splitwheel and be part of the project at no cost. "Members from all over the globe are able to submit ideas and concepts for every single aspect of the new Caterham and discuss and debate them with other users, before ultimately voting on what makes it to the final vehicle," said Caterham in a statement.

Down the line, members of Project Splitwheel may step out of the virtual world and actually test-drive and race the development car.
